OCWSL
Division Guidelines
A
player may register for any division for which she meets the minimum age
requirement.
The
information below is intended as a general guideline for people unfamiliar
with OCWSL. Skill level, competitive/recreational attitude, commitment
to practice, and other factors vary from team to team, even within divisions.
New players are strongly encouraged to contact team representatives to
learn more about particular teams.
18
and Over Division
Players must be a minimum of 18 years old at the time of registration
to be eligible. Slide tackling is permitted in the 18 and over divisions.
There are four (4) subdivisions:
- 18
Open Most competitive division within OCWSL. Players generally
have 10+ years of experience and likely competed at the collegiate level.
- 18A
Highly competitive division. Players generally have 5-10+ years
of experience.
- 18B
Semi-competitive division. Players generally have 2-10 years
of experience.
- 18C
Recreational division. Players generally have 0-5 years experience.
30
and
Over Division
P layers must be a minimum of 30 years old by the end of the calendar
year to register. Slide tackling is not permitted in the 30 and over divisions.
There are two (2) subdivisions:
- 30A
- competitive division
- 30B
- recreational division
40
and Over Division
Players must be a minimum of 40 years old by the end of the calendar year
to register. Slide tackling is not permitted in the 40 and over division.
Players in the 40 and over division may also register on a team in either
the 30 and over or in the 18 and over divisions.
50
and Over Division
Players must be a minimum of 50 years old by the end of the calendar year
to register. Slide tackling is not permitted in the 50 and over division.
Players in the 50 and over division may also register on a team in either
the 40 and over, 30 and over or in the 18 and over divisions.
